PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance line number changing device which is capable of realizing uniform right and left spaces in a work delivery portion, and miniaturized without disturbing the work conveying posture. SOLUTION: The conveyance line number changing device 2 is interposed between a duel line conveying device 4 in which two conveyance lines A, B are arranged parallel to each other with a space not less than the conveyance line width for about one line therebetween, and a single line consisting of one conveyance line C separate from ends of the two conveyance lines A, B of the dual line conveying device and arranged in the center in series to increase or decrease the number of the work conveyance lines, and comprises a line number changing conveyor 22 having the conveyance width of at least two lines, and a parallel moving means 24 which locates one side in the width direction of the line number changing conveyor 22 on the extension of any one conveyance line of the dual line conveying device 4 and moves the other side in a reciprocally changing manner while facing the other side to one end of the conveying line C of the single line conveying device 6 by moving the line number changing conveyor 22 in parallel in the direction orthogonal to the work conveying direction.
