PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device structure having high durability against local external force and capable of protecting a control circuit board such as an inverter disposed between the liquid crystal display device and a back chassis or components in the liquid crystal display device while reducing weight increase in the back chassis. SOLUTION: The display device structure includes: a back chassis 3 having a chassis flat portion 3a, a chassis flat portion 3b producing a level difference from the flat portion 3a, and a chassis rising portion 3c; a reinforcing plate 5 having a flat reinforcing plate portion 5a, a reinforcing plate flat portion 5b producing a level difference from the flat portion 5a, and a reinforcing plate rising portion 5c, wherein the reinforcing plate flat portion 5a and the reinforcing plate flat portion 5b are fixed to the inner surfaces of the chassis flat portion 3a and the flat portion 3b, respectively, so as to produce a predetermined gap L1 between the inner surface of the chassis rising portion 3c and the reinforcing plate rising portion 5c.
