PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for restoring an upset caisson, which can prevent the caisson from being broken by external water pressure acting on the caisson, when the caisson upset in the water is erected and conveyed to a predetermined foundation mound. SOLUTION: A floating body 5, which is composed of first and second floating bodies 51 and 52, is installed in the upset caisson 1. A liquid containing water is infilled into the first floating body 51, and gas containing air is infilled into the second floating body 52. The size of each of the first and second floating bodies 51 and 52 and arrangement positions in the caisson 1 are adjusted to a size and arrangement positions, which prevent overturning moment from acting on the caisson 1, when the caisson 1 is lifted. When the caisson 1 is lifted and conveyed, air pressure in the second floating body 52 is adjusted depending on a fluctuation in the water pressure acting on the caisson 1, so that internal stress causing breakage cannot occur in the caisson in this restoration method.
