<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance design flexibility by reducing the interference with other members while forming a battery case section 13 in a keyboard instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The battery case section 13 is formed between a stopper body 11 of a lower front case 1 and key support 21 of the keyboard instrument. Portions 131, 132 respectively corresponding to a plus electrode and minus electrode of the battery are formed by being lined up in the direction (in a direction of a key list) parallel to the stopper body 11 and key support 12. AA-dry cells are arranged in a horizontal column in the direction of the key list. The length of the key list direction of the battery case section 13 is compactly formed.
