<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily manufacturable catheter which has the high transmissivity of press force imparted to the rear ancher side of the catheter to the tip part of the catheter. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter 1 is provided with a tip side shaft 3 and a base part-side shaft 2 whose tip side part is inserted and fixed into the tip side shaft 3. The tip side shaft 3 is provided with a lumen 51 for a guide wire and a tip-side shaft lumen 31, and the tip-side shaft lumen 31 and a base part-side shaft lumen 20 are communicated. The base part-side shaft 2 comprises a body part 21, a tip part 22 narrower than the body part 21, which intrudes into the tip-side shaft lumen 31, and a base part-side shaft inclination part 23 positioned between the body part 21 and the tip part 22. The tip-side shaft lumen 31 has a lumen change part 46 where a lumen cross section becomes smaller as approaching the tip side.
