PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper for printing, which has excellent base paper coverability, excellent printing surface appearance, and good printing suitability. SOLUTION: This coated paper for printing, prepared by disposing at least two coating layers containing at least a pigment and an adhesive on base paper, is characterized by containing at least two kinds of pigments comprising of hollow resin particles having an average particle diameter of 0.5 to 3μm and kaolin having a≤2μm particle diameter particle content of≥95 mass%, as the pigment components in the lowermost layer among the coated layers, wherein the content of the hollow resin particles is 10 to 30 mass% based on all pigments in the lowermost layer, and further containing polyvinyl alcohol as an adhesive in the lowermost layer.
