The axial flow cooling fan [10] used in a computer housing is in the form of a module that is fitted on the inside of a housing panel that has a pattern of holes. The fan is fixed to the metal housing panel using the attractive force provided by a number of permanent magnets [20] that are set into holes [15] in the fan plates [13,14].
