METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING ARRAY MICROCRYSTALLIZATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing array microcrystallization in order to determine suitable crystallization conditions for a molecule.

SOLUTION: The method comprises a process for forming an array of a microcrystallization product and each microcrystallization product comprises a drop containing a molecule to be crystallized. The method comprises a step for forming drops each having a volume of <1 μ L, a step for storing the array of the microcrystallization product under conditions suitable for forming molecular crystals in the drops in the array and a step for detecting molecular crystal formation in the drops.
