<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blue semiconductor laser and a method for manufacturing the same, which can output a laser beam with the high accuracy of a position, using a semiconductor laser element that is surely mounted on a semiconductor substrate with high accuracy, and to provide an optical pickup device. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor laser element is installed between SiN layers formed on a p-type layer via a heat sink layer and a solder layer (approximately 4 μm in layer thickness), in addition to a Ti layer and Au layer. Among them, the heat sink layer is interposed between the Au layer and Ti layer having a thickness of approximately 20 μm. The heat sink is thicker than the Au layer (0.4 μm of film thickness) for securing the installation position of the semiconductor laser element in the thickness direction of the substrate. Further, there are an Al layer and dielectric layer at a mirror portion which is a reflecting part of the semiconductor laser beam, and a reflecting film structure showing high reflectance characteristics with respect to blue light is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
