PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin high-stability piezoelectric oscillator which attains thinning, and by which various requests, such as the stabilization of an oscillation frequency, the reduction of a power consumption, the improvement in assembly nature, etc. are satisfied, at the same time. SOLUTION: The thin high stable piezoelectric oscillator has an oscillator unit 3 carried on a base printed circuit board 2, and a metallic oscillator housing 4 which hermetically seals the space on a printed circuit board, including the oscillator unit. The oscillator unit has a piezoelectric vibrator 10; a printed circuit board 20; a heater resistor 25 and a temperature sensor 26; an inside metal casing 30, which performs gas sealing or vacuum sealing of the piezoelectric vibrator, the printed circuit board, the heater resistor, the temperature sensor, and regulating circuit elements; and a connecting terminal 40 for connecting the temperature control circuit elements on the base printed circuit board surface; a power transistor 35; and an oscillation circuit components 36 to a wiring pattern on the base printed circuit board, extending from the printed circuit board through insulation penetrating the inside metal casing.
