摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform video display with image quality and definition meeting user's adjustment operation in a liquid crystal display device equipped with a liquid crystal display panel having a plurality of sub-pixels in respective unit pixels and capable of performing gray scale display. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with a voltage supply means for discretely supplying a voltage of a prescribed voltage value in addition to the gray scale voltage supplied from a source electrode to each of the plurality of the sub-pixels within the unit pixel and a user operation section 2 which accepts the video adjustment value setting operation from the user. A controller 4 adjusts the voltage value supplied by the voltage supply means discretely by the each sub-pixel according to the result of the accepted video adjustment value setting, and performs display control of the liquid crystal display panel with respect to the video information entered in a video signal input section 1. The liquid crystal display device is previously provided, as the voltage supply means, with, for example, auxiliary capacitor reference electrode to which the respective sub-pixels within the auxiliary capacitor unit pixel in the liquid crystal display panel 8 are separately connected, and the voltage values read out of a ROM 6 to the video adjustment values by an auxiliary capacitor signal generating circuit 7 are supplied by each of the sub-pixels from the respective auxiliary capacitor reference electrodes.
