<p>A control valve for a variable displacement compressor, having on-off control functioning in response to occurrence of abnormally high pressure. When a solenoid is turned off, a spring (17) causes a movable iron core (16) to move a stopper (19) in the direction of departure from a fixed iron core (14), separating a shaft (18), which is fixed to the stopper (19), from a valve seat (13) to open a valve. When the solenoid is turned on, the movable iron core (16) is sucked to the fixed iron core (14) by a stroke greater than that of a shaft (18), thereby the spring (20) causes the shaft (18) to be seated on a valve seat (13) to close a valve. When a discharge pressure Pd is abnormally high, it pressingly opens the shaft (18) while causing the spring (20) to sag by a pressure difference between the discharge pressure Pd and crank chamber pressure, and as a result, the pressure Pd is released to the crank chamber. This causes the crank chamber pressure Pc to rise to move a variable displacement compressor to an operation side in which a discharge capacity is minimum, and thereby the abnormally high pressure is lowered.</p> |
