CLAMPING RING FOR FASTENING A GAS GENERATING CARTRIDGE

The invention relates to a clamping ring for fastening a gas generating cartridge to a supporting plate. Said clamping ring (10) comprises a tubular clamping element (11) molded into the ring and a shaft (15) which increases the retaining force between the ring and the cartridge and which is also molded into the ring. Said shaft (15) consists of two convex sections (6) th at project outward from the ring (10) and an interposed recessed section (17) that curves inward in a convex manner. The apex of said recessed section, in the initial state of the ring (10), is at least tangent to the arc of a circ le defined by the remaining parts of the ring. The inventive clamping ring fastening allows to resist to moments of torsion between the cartridge and t he supporting plate of significantly more than 10 Nm.
