<p>The sliding door with a magnetic drive system for at least one door wing (5) has a magnetic row (1) for each door wing, the magnetisation of which in their longitudinal direction in defined time intervals changes the polarity sign. The door wing can be fastened on a support slide (4) connected to the magnetic row. With corresponding energizing of individual coils (2) an interaction with at least one of the magnetic rows for each door wing takes place, inducing thrust forces. A control unit controls the coils depending upon monitoring signals from a sensor arrangement which senses the approach of persons and/or objects to the sliding door. An independent claim is included for a method for the control of a sliding door.</p> |
