<p>An ink jet recording ink is disclosed which can realize feathering- or bleeding-free, waterfast recording on plain paper, recycled paper, and recording media having a surface gloss layer. The ink composition comprises a pigment, a glycol ether, a water-soluble emulsion, and water, the pigment being dispersible and/or soluble in water without a dispersant, the glycol ether being one member or a mixture of at least two members selected from a group consisting of diethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether, triethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether, propylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether, and dipropylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether.</p> |
