The invention relates to a method for laying data cables (15) in a liner during the renovation of pipe ducts (1). The data cables (15) are protected by the liner on all sides. According to said method the data cables (15) can be laid at minimum cost and without digging, in existing pipe ducts (1) reachin g every house in a municipality. This generates additional income for the municipality in return for only minimal prior investment.
