The proposed method for simulating chronic hepatitis type C implies toxically injuring hepatocytes by carbon tetrachloride and estimating the reaction of the immune system of the experimental animal. The method consists in administering to the experimental animals, three times, 0.25 ml of 50 % solution of carbon tetrachloride solution in refined vegetable oil, then administering homogenate of homologous liver with complete Freind adjuvant, three times, in an amount of 0.5 ml, 0.25 ml, within 15 and 9 days, and administering azathiopirinum at intervals between the administration of the homogenate, three times, in an amount of 50 mg per 1 kg of the body weight of the animal.
