The invention relates to metallurgy. A device for withdrawing the working melt from bath of unit for hot continuous galvanizing or alumogalvanizing contains magneto hydrodynamic pump with lifting and transporting mechanism, reservoir for receiving melt and connecting them unit for transporting the melt, which is made in the form of inclined trough with inlet end, which has the shape of a funnel, and outlet nipple of magneto hydrodynamic pump and inlet end of inclined trough are connected by hinge. This provides centering the nipple relative to the inlet unit and permits movement of magneto hydrodynamic pump only along the vertical axis of inlet end of inclined trough. The invention provides an increase of reliability and reduction of shutdowns of the unit for hot continuous zinc-plating oralumo zinc-plating of steel plates.
