The sensor has a heat sensitive unit (10) placed in a protective housing (16). A massive ceramic cap (20) is inserted between the unit and the housing. The unit is connected to conducting wires (12, 14) which are insulated and maintained by a ceramic insulating sheath (18). The cap has an orifice (24) to receive the unit, where the orifice is complimentary to an outer cover of a unit to tightly adopt the surface of the unit.
