PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay 1 capable of surely suppressing noise generated by a shock transmitted from a yoke 11, through absorption of the shock generated by a movable core 9 colliding with a fixed core 14. SOLUTION: A return spring 16 biasing the movable core 9 in a direction contrary to the fixed core has its one end supported by a stepped part of the movable core 9 and the other end supported by that of a bobbin 18, arranged between the movable core 9 and the bobbin 18 with reaction force stored. A plate 15 of a magnetic substance is fixed to the fixed core 14, and a rubber cushion 17 is arranged between the plate 15 and the yoke 11. With this structure, reaction force of the return spring 16 is not added to the rubber cushion 17 through the bobbin 18, so that hardness of the rubber cushion can be freely selected, and impact generated at collision of the movable core 9 with the fixed core 14 can be effectively absorbed.
