<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing particles of color material and ink composition realizing ink composition excellent in dispersing property and storage stability and the particles are not susceptible to adhere on ink jet nozzle of a ink jet recording system in using as an ink composition for ink jet recording. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to the method for producing particles containing the color material and the polymer comprising a process dispersing a mixture containing the color material and polymer in a medium at ≥60°C in a wet system.
