<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hemodynamics measurement system by which prescribed measurement (measurement of physical characteristics of an artery and blood pressure) can be accurately performed without being effected by breathing, irregular pulses, body movement, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The hemodynamics measurement system is equipped with a cuff 1, a compression pump to change pressure in the cuff 1 and a decompression control valve 3, pressure sensor 4 to detect pressure in the cuff 1, a vibration applicator 5 to overlap pressure vibration with a frequency higher than a pulse of an organism of a measurement subject and an amplitude smaller than a pulse of an organism of a measurement subject to adjusted cuff pressure, a volume variation detecting means 6A, 6B to optically detect volume variation of the artery of a cuff wearing location, a volume vibration extracting means to extract volume vibration corresponding to pressure vibration from output signals of the volume variation detecting means, and a characteristics detecting means to detect a relation between the difference between intravascular and extravascular pressure and the amplitude of the volume vibration (or a value associated thereto) based on output of the pressure detecting means and the volume vibration extracting means. The hemodynamics (physical characteristics of the artery and blood pressure) can be measured from the relationship detected by the characteristics detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
