PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communications apparatus which allows transmission of an e-mails, quickly with a simple procedure. SOLUTION: The data communications apparatus has an e-mail transmission key for letting a user transmit an e-mail document with document number represented as "01", for example: when the e-mail address is registered to a record related to the relevant truncated code in a table storage part (telephone directory table TBL), if the truncated code, such as "00" identifying the e-mail address is entered from a numeric keypad 111 on a control part 11.
