PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which large-sizing and high precision are possible. SOLUTION: A housing of the image display device has a first substrate 10 in which a fluorescent face is formed, and a second substrate which is arranged opposed to the first substrate with a gap and in which a plurality of electron emitting sources to excite the fluorescent face are installed. Between the first and the second substrates, a plurality of spacer structures 22a to 22d to respectively support atmospheric pressure load to act on the first and the second substrates, and a coupling member 50 to couple the mutual spacer structures are installed. The respective space structures have a supporting substrate 24 having a first surface opposed to the first substrate and a second surface opposed to the second substrate, and a plurality of spacers 30 erected and installed on the supporting substrate.
