PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion type epitaph for allowing an easy status change of an epitaph plate (breakage repair, addition, re-arrangement and partial removal). SOLUTION: The insertion type epitaph A comprises epitaph clogs 1, 1 to be placed side by side on an epitaph base 11, the epitaph panel 2 to be fitted at its lower part to a receiving portion 12 and fitted to the epitaph base 11, a rail stone plate 3 fixed at its back face 30 to a lower edge surface 22 and held at its L-shaped inside thereon, a roof stone 4 having a downward recessed groove 41 into which the upper end face of the epitaph panel 2 is fixed, the epitaph plate 5 to be inserted into a plate storage portion 51 formed between an upper gap 43 and a lower gap 32 through a storage portion insertion port 50, and a plate stone stopper 6 for blocking the storage portion insertion port 50. When the status change of the epitaph plate 5 is performed, the plate stone stopper 6 is removed for the status change and the epitaph plate is blocked with the plate stone stopper 6 again after the status change.
