PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair equipped with a device for adjusting reaction force against a tilt which enables an adjustment of the reaction force in tilting a backrest backward and shows greater freedom in designing by designing a reaction force generating part and a reaction force adjustment operation part independently of a seat reception part. SOLUTION: The device for adjusting reaction force in tilting the backrest 6 of the tilting chair C backward is equipped with the reaction force generating part 81 generating the reaction force independently of the seat reception part 3 of the chair C and the reaction force adjustment operation part 82 provided on the front end side of the side edge of the seat reception part 3 for adjusting the strength of the reaction force of the part 81. The part 81 is equipped with a coil spring 811 and a compression and extension part 812 which is provided at least on one end side of the coil spring 811 and compresses or extends the coil spring 811 in conjunction with the adjustment operation applied to the operation part 82.
