PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery device whose type is identified according to a charge-discharge characteristic or the like. SOLUTION: This battery device 2 comprises a plurality of secondary batteries each comprising an electrode body having a negative electrode and a positive electrode, and a cylindrical can body 22 with the electrode body housed therein, and is composed by arranging the respective cylindrical can bodies of the plurality of secondary batteries in a direction perpendicular to their longitudinal direction by interlaying a separator or separators 23 stuck thereto along the longitudinal direction. In the battery device, each separator 23 has an engagement part formed in one-side recessed part formed between the cylindrical can bodies 22 adjacent to each other, and engaging with a battery housing part of an electronic apparatus for mounting the battery device 2 therein from a nearly central part in the longitudinal direction of the cylindrical can body 22 through the downstream side in the insertion direction of the battery device 2. On the engagement part, an identification part 26 having an identification shape according to the attribute of the battery device 2 on an end face on the side of an insertion end of the battery device 2 and contacting a lever switch installed in the battery housing part, is formed.
