<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an electrode catalyst for a fuel cell by which an effective utilization factor of catalytic metal particles is improved in a simple manner. <P>SOLUTION: The production method of an electrode catalyst involves mixing a solution containing colloidal particles obtained by coating catalyst metal particles with a protection agent and a conductive carrier 1 having fine pores and depositing the colloidal particles on the conductive carrier 1. In the production method, the particle diameter of the colloidal particles is adjusted by the protection agent, so that the colloidal particles are prevented from being carried on the inside of the fine pores of the conductive carrier, and accordingly, the problem can be solved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
