PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique effective for improving installation work efficiency of a spring support member supporting a clutch spring in a power tool having a power intermittent clutch mechanism. SOLUTION: This power tool has a body part 103, a motor 111, a tip tool 115 and a clutch mechanism 151. The clutch mechanism has: a rotating shaft 145 rotated by the motor; a fixed clutch member 153 fixed to the rotating shaft; a movable clutch member 155 movable in the axial direction; a clutch spring 157 energizing the movable clutch member to mesh and engage with the fixed clutch member; and the spring support member 159 fitted to the rotating shaft to dispose the clutch spring in the compressed state in a space up to the movable clutch member. The spring support member is displaced between the engagement position for regulating the relative movement in the axial direction of the rotating shaft by rotating the rotating shaft around the axis and the release position permitting the relative movement in the axial direction in a space up to the rotating shaft.
