PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of surely protecting a panel monitor 12 in a simple constitution, in an imaging apparatus 1 equipped with the panel monitor 12 on one side face of a camera body 2. SOLUTION: The panel monitor 12 is structured to be folded longitudinally along with one side face 2b of the camera body 2, a confronted face 60a facing a distal end face 12a of the panel monitor 12 approximately, withouts gap in a state of the panel monitor 12 folded is included in a lower portion of the one side face 2b of the camera body 2, and a flange portion 60 is formed while protruding with width approximately equal with the width of the panel monitor 12 and with a protrusion height approximately equal to the thickness of the panel monitor 12. Furthermore, in a cradle device on which the imaging apparatus is mounted, a holding part for holding the camera body is formed, corresponding to the shape of the bottom face of the camera body, so that the imaging apparatus is structured to be mounted smoothly and to prevent wrong mountings.
