PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photosensitive material capable of increasing sensitivity without deteriorating storage stability. SOLUTION: The silver halide color photosensitive material has, on a support, blue-, green- and red-sensitive photosensitive units each comprising at least one silver halide emulsion layer, and at least one non-photosensitive layer, wherein the silver halide color photosensitive material contains the following compound (A) in at least one layer in the sensitive material. Compound (A): a compound which releases the following compound (A<SB>c1</SB>) by oxidative coupling reaction with a color developing agent. Compound (A<SB>c1</SB>): a heterocyclic compound which increases sensitivity when added. The heterocycle of the heterocyclic compound has one or two hetero atoms. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
