PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric leak checker with a small size and satisfactory handling property, which is operable without using a battery or needing a direct power supply from a cable way, and never causes extinguishment of a display at the time of indicating an electric leak. SOLUTION: The electric leak checker 1 comprises a resin-made case 5; a zero phase sequence current transformer 3 detecting a leak current carried to the cable way 2 and outputting a current I; and an electromagnetic indicator for displaying electric leak. In the indicator, a movable iron piece 9 attracted by a yoke 8 having a coil 7 wound thereon against the force of a spring 11 by the magnetic force of a permanent magnet 10 supported by the yoke 8 having a coil 7 so as to be approachable and separable is rotated by the force of the spring 11 and separated from the yoke 8 by carrying an output current I of the transformer 3 to the coil 7 and exciting the coil 7 to cancel the magnetic force of the permanent magnet 10, and an indicator 12 provided on the case 5 so as to be protrudable and retreatable is pushed out by the movable iron piece 9 and protruded from the case 5 to indicate the electric leak.
