PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation system capable of notifying a delay of an arrival time to a user, when the arrival time to a destination is delayed from a desired time. SOLUTION: This system calculates a required time from the present place up to the destination (step S110), and calculates a predicted arrival time by adding the required time to the present time (step S120). The system compares a waiting time in the destination set by the user with the predicted arrival time (step S140), and notifies the possibility that the predicted arrival time exceeds the waiting time (step S150), when the predicted arrival time exceeds the waiting time. The user communicates thereby the possibility of the delay in the arrival time in advance, for example, to a mate having an appointment of the waiting in the destination.
