PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that in a traditional panel of counter electric discharge structure, the excessive elevation of the brightness of emitted light becoms a large obstacle in obtaining the panel that has superior contrast characteristics since during a reset discharge period, minute reset discharge cannot be obtained, but it constitutes full circuit discharge that rapidly grows all at once. SOLUTION: When voltages are made to change slowly during the reset period by installing a tip or installing a protruded part in each opposing discharge electrode, local discharge at the electrode tip can be achieved, and full circuit discharge can be prevented.
