<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a conception rate by smoothing passage through a canal of a cervix with an extending function of a head ensured, by facilitating manipulation for induction by hand from a rectum, by cutting an arrival time of the head to a uterine horn as short as possible to surely prevent damage of cervical mucus, by reducing risks of contamination, and by reducing adverse influences of a fused cryoprotective agent to an embryo. <P>SOLUTION: An instrument comprises a tube 1 which has an inserted straw S housing the embryo of a livestock and is to be attached, a piston 10 which extrudes the embryo housed in the straw S, and a head 20 which is installed on the front end of the tube 1 and discharges the embryo. The head 20 comprises an extended diameter part 23 with a prescribed length and a diameter larger than that of the tube 1, an apical part 24 having a taper part 25 which is connected to one end of the extended diameter part 23 and contacts the diameter gradually toward a chip 30, and a base point 26 having a taper part 27 which is connected to the other end of the extended diameter part 23 and contracts the diameter gradually toward the tube 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
