[PROBLEMS] To provide a process for producing feed in which tea residue is rendered harmless to livestock by the action of filamentous fungi and in which the digestive potency of livestock is enhanced to thereby enable absorption of protein contained in tea residue by the livestock with the result that effective utilization of tea residue is attained. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Tea residue feed is produced by adding filamentous fungi to a raw material containing tea residue and carrying out an aerobic fermentation thereof. A farinaceous raw material, such as rice, oat, bran or corn, may be added thereto as a nutrient source. Alternatively, the production of tea residue feed is performed by preparing koji (malt) from a farinaceous raw material according to customary procedure, adding tea residue and performing an aerobic fermentation thereof. |
