<p>An apparatus and a method for high-speed character recognition are disclosed. The character recognition method includes receiving a bit-stream decoded base on a symbol matching encoding scheme where the bit-stream including a symbol dictionary and a symbol information which is information of symbols included in an original image; decoding the symbol dictionary included in the bit-stream; performing a character recognition process of each of plural of symbols included in the decoded symbol dictionary; decoding the symbol information after completing the character recognition process; and generating a text file of the original image by using the result of the character recognition process and the decoded symbol information.</p> |
