The laptop computer (1) has a photovoltaic board (2) with high efficiency photovoltaic cells (4), integrated in a fixed or removable manner to the computer, and a rechargeable battery. The board is arranged at the back of a laptop computer enclosure (5). The cells are dimensioned in a manner to generate sufficient electric energy from light energy, for assuring the operation of the computer.
