PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition for interior trim components capable of effectively removing aldehydic and acidic volatile substances, free from discoloration tendency, and amenable to coloration in a desired color and to provide interior trim components molded from the same. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition for interior trim components comprises 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin and 0.01 to 200 pts.wt. modified layered clay mineral prepared by intercalating an amino-containing organic compound selected from among amino-containing carboxylic acids, amino-containing sulfonic acids, and amino-containing phenols, and salts thereof into between the layers of an anion-exchangeable layered clay mineral.
