ACTUATOR FOR A METERED DOSE INHALER

A metered dose inhaler (100, 200, 300) is provided which includes a canister (102, 202, 302) fitted in a boot (104, 204, 304). A metered dose of medication is delivered by compressing the canister (102, 202, 302) in the boot (104, 204, 304). The metered dose inhaler (100, 200, 300) includes an actuator (106, 206, 306) that either fully (automatic) or partially (user-assisted) actuates the metered dose inhaler (100, 200, 300) in order to deliver medication to the user.
