The invention relates to PEM fuel cells. A stack is formed of reformer cells (3) between which are positioned individual fuel cells (2), the number depending on the particular application. A heat exchanger (4) between the cells prevents direct thermal contact between the cells. This can even be in the form of a flat heat sink. The fuel cell waste heat extracted in this way can be used directly to heat the reformer cells. |
