An adhesive tape (2), especially one which can be rolled up and used on vehicle bodywork, has a carrier tape (3) with on one side a pressure-sensitive adhesive (4) and on the other side hook-shaped closure elements (3a) forming hoop and loop-like bonds with complimentary sleeve-like closures, the elements (3a) having a surface density above 100 per cm2> and forming a uniform cell structure (Z) transverse to the lengthwise direction of the tape. An independent claim is also included for a roll (1) of the above tape with layers (2a,2b) and with the adhesive layer (4) of the rolled-up layer (2a) lying directly on the hook-shaped closure elements (3a) in layer (2b).
