<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure, by a simple configuration in an image forming apparatus having a nonvolatile storage means, sufficient time needed for writing into the nonvolatile storage means when a power source is off. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus having the nonvolatile storage means 10 includes: power source off detecting means 3 and 8 for detecting that the power source switch 2 of the image forming apparatus has been turned off; a drive stopping means 26 for stopping the drive of a particular part 9 in the image forming apparatus based upon the detection result of the power source off detecting means; and a writing means 8 for writing information about image forming apparatus into the nonvolatile storage means 10 based on the detection result of the power source off detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
