PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the manufacture of a heat shield cloth being used as a material sheet of a curtain and a window shade and preferably having flame retardancy in a short process compared with a conventional method. SOLUTION: A cloth formed by knitting and weaving synthetic fiber yarn is subjected to a set of refining, bleaching, dyeing, drying and heating processes, then the cloth surface in a dry state is treated by a physical vapor deposition method such as sputtering, ion plating and ion beam method to form a light-reflective and transparent metal film composed of stainless steel or titanium, and the cloth surface is smoothed by glazing before or after the physical vapor deposition method.
