POLYETHER-ESTER ELASTIC FIBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recyclable polyether-ester elastic fiber good in moisture-absorbing/releasing tendency and slight in extension attributable to moisture absorption or water absorption. SOLUTION: The polyether-ester elastic fiber is made from a polyether-ester elastomer with polybutylene terephthalate as hard segments and polyoxyethylene glycol as soft segments. The elastic fiber has two crystal melting peaks in a DSC curve given by differential scanning calorimetry and the ratio Hm1/Hm2 is greater than 1.2 but not greater than 7.0, wherein Hm1 is the height of the crystal melting peak at lower-temperature side and Hm2 is the height of the crystal melting peak at higher-temperature side.
