FLUID FILTER, ITS DRAINING MECHANISM, TOOL FOR DRAINING USED IN FLUID FILTER, AND DRAINING METHOD FOR FLUID FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draining mechanism for a fluid filter capable of preventing a worker from being splashed with a heated fluid when the fluid is discharged during element replacement work or the like and further suppressing inclusion of dust and the like from outside in ordinary use. SOLUTION: This drain mechanism 7 comprises a cap 3 in engagement with a case 2 and having a drain hole 15, a drain member (a drain plug 20) detachably mounted on the cap from outside to close the drain hole, a valve member 25 provided on the inner side of the cap to close the drain hole, and an elastic means (a spring 11) for biasing the valve member in such a direction to close the drain hole. The drain member is removed from the cap, and then a tubular draining tool 30 is inserted into the drain hole to discharge the fluid remaining in the inside of a housing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
