PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in riding lawn mower and tractor wherein a cruise control device holding a vehicle speed constant by holding the output rotational speed of HST is well known, and it is difficult to make assembling and maintaining since a neutral return mechanism energizing a trunnion shaft to a neutral position and a holding mechanism holding the rotating position of the trunnion shaft are concentrically installed at the base part of an HST pedal. SOLUTION: A shaft member 5 is passed through beyond the lateral width of a case 8 and supported on a case member 8 covering the HST 1. The base parts of an advancing pedal 3 and a retreating pedal 4 rotatingly operating the trunnion shaft 7 are fitted to the lateral one end of the shaft member 5, and also a neutral return mechanism 30 energizing the trunnion shaft 7 to a neutral position is installed at the one end. On the other hand, a holding mechanism 11 having an internally expanding brake holding the rotating position of the shaft member 5 rotatingly operated by the advancing and retreating pedals 3 and 4 is installed at the lateral other end of the shaft member 5.
