PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicator for elevator capable of preventing ambiguity of the indication caused by other illumination or the like in a plate of installation, and of less restriction of formative expression. SOLUTION: When a face plate 4 is arranged in a perpendicular posture and other illumination enters an indication body 6 to make the ambiguity of indication, a hooker 15 is depressed against the urging force of an urging mechanism 17 by an adequate tool. The hooker 15 of a movable body 12 is unhooked from an enclosure body 10, the face plate 4 is inclined so that the face plate 4 forms an angle of depression to a passenger at a landing place or the like. The face plate 4 is maintained in an inclined posture by fitting the hooker 15 to any one of hooking holes, and ambiguity of the indication is avoided thereby. In addition, the indication body 6 is in an inclined posture together with the face plate 4, the productivity of the indicator is enhanced, the manufacturing cost can be saved, the face plate 4 and the indication body 6 are integrated with each other to enhance the degree of versatility of formative expression.
