Pre-packed spoonable food for infants or young children comprises a multi-component meal of porridge- or gel-like structure where at least 2 unmixed components are visually distinguishable and take up at least 2 volume parts of the container, the boundary between the parts is visible as a contour line on the product surface and runs vertically. An Independent claim is included for production of the food by filling a container with two pasty or gelable food components in such a way that one component at least partly and visibly surrounds the other (central) component in ring-like fashion.
