<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for outputting an image for a prescribed period such as a field period repetitively caused so as to photograph e.g., a moving picture, the apparatus which carries out shake correction of an imaged image without losing the reproducibility of consecutive motions of a moving object. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus uses a shake correction amount detection means to detect a shake correction amount by each image while using an imaging element to image a plurality of images for the prescribed period, and uses a shake correction means to correct a shake of the images on the basis of the shake correction amount. Thereafter, the imaging apparatus is configured to use an image composite means to overlap at least two or more shake corrected images into one imaged image and to provide an output for the prescribed period. Through the configuration above, the imaging apparatus reduces the effect of shake and reproduces a smooth motion of the moving object by overlapping the images after the correction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
